"This photo essay attempts to illustrate Beijing's traditional district, in order to portray the everyday life of Beijing citizens who have been living in such areas for decades and throughout several generations. Some of the old districts have been transformed into tourist attractions, such as Nanluoguxiang and Houhai. Unfortunately, some of them have been demolished. It is definitely hard for those people to keep their traditions and lifestyle. "
